There is nothing better than the aroma of freshly baked bread filling the house. Homemade bread is not only delicious, but also healthy, because you control all the ingredients.
1. Classic white bread
Ingredients:
- Wheat flour – 500 g
- Dry yeast – 7 g
- Warm water – 300 ml
- Sugar – 1 tbsp. l.
- Salt – 1 tsp. l.
- Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp. l.
Preparation:
- In a bowl, mix warm water, yeast and sugar. Leave for 10 minutes until foam appears.
- Add salt and vegetable oil. Gradually add the flour while kneading the dough.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it becomes soft and elastic.
- Cover the dough with a towel and leave it in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours to rise.
- Put the dough in a bread mold or form a loaf, leave for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in an oven heated to 180°C for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
2. Rye bread with honey
Ingredients:
- Rye flour – 300 g
- Wheat flour – 200 g
- Dry yeast – 7 g
- Warm water – 350 ml
- Honey – 2 tbsp. l.
- Salt – 1 tsp. l.
Preparation:
- Dissolve honey and yeast in warm water. Leave for 10 minutes.
- Mix both types of flour and salt.
- Gradually pour the yeast mixture into the flour, kneading the dough.
- Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes, then leave it in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Stir the dough and put it in a baking dish.
- Bake at a temperature of 200°C for about 40 minutes.
3. Whole grain bread with seeds
Ingredients:
- Whole grain flour – 400 g
- Warm water – 300 ml
- Dry yeast – 7 g
- Salt – 1 tsp. l.
- Sunflower, flax, pumpkin seeds – 2 tablespoons each. l.
- Honey or syrup – 1 tbsp. l.
Preparation:
- Dissolve honey and yeast in warm water, leave for 10 minutes.
- Mix flour, salt and seeds.
- Add the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients and knead the dough.
- Cover the dough with a towel and leave in a warm place for 1 hour.
- After rising, put the dough in a mold and sprinkle additional seeds on top.
- Bake at 180°C for 35-40 minutes.
Tips for perfect bread
- Temperature of ingredients : Always use warm water to activate the yeast.
- Kneading : Knead the dough until elastic, this will affect the texture of the bread.
- Resting the dough : Allow enough time to rise so that the bread is soft and fluffy.
