Recipes of hot drinks for winter evenings

Winter evenings are the perfect time for warm drinks that will not only warm you, but also give you comfort. Tea with spices, aromatic cocoa or classic mulled wine – each of them can become part of your evening ritual.

We offer three recipes that you can easily prepare at home.

1. Spicy tea with cinnamon and orange

Ingredients:

  • Black or green tea – 2 tsp. l.
  • Cinnamon sticks – 1 pc.
  • Orange — 2 slices
  • Cloves – 3-4 pcs.
  • Honey or sugar – to taste

Preparation:

  1. Brew tea in a large cup or teapot.
  2. Add cinnamon stick, orange slices and cloves.
  3. Let the drink infuse for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Sweeten with honey or sugar to taste.

Tip: For a richer taste, you can add a few slices of apple or ginger.

2. Aromatic marshmallow cocoa

Ingredients:

  • Milk — 500 ml
  • Cocoa powder – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Sugar – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Chocolate (dark or milk) – 30 g
  • Marshmallow – to taste

Preparation:

  1. Pour the milk into a pan and heat, but do not bring to a boil.
  2. Add cocoa powder and sugar, mix thoroughly.
  3. Add the chocolate pieces and stir until completely melted.
  4. Pour cocoa into cups and add marshmallows on top.

Tip: For even more flavor, add a pinch of vanilla or cinnamon.

3. Classic mulled wine

Ingredients:

  • Dry red wine — 750 ml
  • Orange – 1 pc.
  • Lemon – 0.5 pcs.
  • Cloves – 5-6 pcs.
  • Cinnamon – 1 stick
  • Sugar or honey – 2-3 tbsp. l.
  • Apple — 1 pc. (optional)

Preparation:

  1. Pour the wine into a saucepan and heat over low heat (do not bring to a boil).
  2. Add orange slices, lemon, apple, cloves and cinnamon stick.
  3. Sweeten with sugar or honey.
  4. Boil the drink for 10-15 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Pour mulled wine into cups through a sieve.

Tip: Mulled wine can be made non-alcoholic by replacing the wine with pomegranate or apple juice.
