Autumn is outside the window, which means that it’s time for plums and apples, and it’s time to prepare an autumn cake. This is a very tasty pie recipe. Shortbread with a juicy filling of plums and apples with the addition of cinnamon is an explosion of taste! Apart from the fact that it is, well, very tasty, the aroma is simply incredible! It is prepared quickly and easily.
Ingredients:
For the dough:
- 150 g of butter at room temperature
- 120 g of sugar
- a pack of vanilla sugar
- 2 eggs at room temperature
- 2 Art. l. milk
- 500 g of flour
- 10 g of baking powder
For the filling:
- 500 g of apples
- 600 g of plums
- 100 g of sugar
- cinnamon to taste (a pinch)
- egg for greasing the pie
- powdered sugar for sprinkling the pie
Preparation:
- Rub butter and sugar in a bowl, add vanilla sugar, eggs, and milk. Mix well until smooth.
- Add sifted flour with baking powder, knead the dough.
- For the filling, cut the plums into cubes, cut the skin from the apples, remove the core and also cut into cubes.
- Add sugar, cinnamon and mix well.
- Heat the oven to 200 C.
- Grease a 27-28 cm diameter cake tin with butter.
- Form a cake. Divide the dough into two equal parts.
- Roll out the first part into a thin layer, about 2-3 mm thick.
- Put the filling on the dough.
- Cover with the second part of the rolled out dough.
- Pinch the edges and pierce in several places with a fork. Brush the cake with beaten egg.
- Place in the oven to bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Sprinkle the finished hot cake with powdered sugar and let it cool a little. done
Serve warm pie with a scoop of ice cream.
