  • 1 whole chicken or chicken parts (thighs, legs) – 1.5 kg
  • Potatoes – 1 kg

  • Bulgarian pepper – 2 pcs.
  • Onion – 1 pc.
  • Olive oil – 3 tbsp. l.
  • A mixture of herbs (oregano, rosemary, thyme) — 1 tsp.
  • Salt, pepper – to taste
  • Garlic – 3 cloves

Method of preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Brush the chicken with olive oil, sprinkle with salt, pepper and a mixture of herbs. Add chopped garlic and leave to marinate for 30 minutes.
  3. Cut the potatoes into large pieces, the carrots and peppers into slices, and the onion into half rings.
  4. Put the vegetables on a baking sheet, pour olive oil, salt and mix.
  5. Place the chicken on top of the vegetables and bake for about 1.5 hours, basting occasionally with the resulting juices.
  6. Serve hot chicken with vegetables straight from the oven.

2. Lasagna with meat and cheese

Ingredients:

  • Sheets for lasagna — 12 pcs.
  • Minced meat (pork + beef) – 500 g
  • Tomatoes in their own juice – 400 g
  • Tomato paste – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Onion – 1 pc.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Mozzarella cheese – 200 g
  • Parmesan cheese – 100 g
  • Bechamel (butter, flour, milk) – 500 ml
  • Olive oil – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Salt, pepper, oregano – to taste

Method of preparation:

  1. Fry the onion and garlic in olive oil until golden.
  2. Add minced meat and fry until done. Then add tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, pepper and oregano. Cook on low heat for 20 minutes.
  3. Prepare the bechamel sauce: melt the butter, add the flour and gradually pour in the milk, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
  4. Boil the sheets for lasagna until half done.
  5. Put some bechamel sauce in a baking dish, then a layer of lasagna, meat filling, mozzarella cheese and sauce again. Repeat the layers until you have used all the ingredients. Sprinkle the last layer with grated parmesan.
  6. Bake the lasagna at 180°C for about 40 minutes until golden brown.

3. Pork stew with vegetables

Ingredients:

  • Pork (shoulder or neck) – 600 g
  • Potatoes – 4 pcs.
  • Carrot – 2 pcs.

  • Zucchini – 1 pc.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Olive oil – 3 tbsp. l.
  • Bay leaf – 2 pcs.
  • Tomato paste – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Broth (or water) — 500 ml
  • Salt, pepper, paprika – to taste

Method of preparation:

  1. Cut the pork into small pieces, fry in olive oil until golden.
  2. Add finely chopped onion and garlic, fry for a few more minutes.
  3. Add the tomato paste and spices, stir, then add the stock.
  4. Cut potatoes, carrots and zucchini into cubes and add to the meat.
  5. Add the bay leaf, reduce the heat and simmer covered for 40-50 minutes until the vegetables and meat are tender.
  6. Serve the stew hot with bread or porridge of your choice.
